Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using Pawtio, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
2. What Pawtio is — and isn't
Pawtio helps you record and organize your pet's vet visits into clear summaries. Pawtio is not a veterinary service and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Pawtio organizes what your vet says; your vet makes the calls.
Visit summaries, including any medication, diagnosis, or follow-up information, are generated by an AI model from a transcript of your recording. AI-generated content can be incomplete or inaccurate. Always confirm anything important with your vet directly, and never use Pawtio as your sole source of information in an emergency — contact your vet or an emergency animal hospital directly.
3. Beta release
Pawtio is currently released as a Beta. It may contain bugs, incomplete features, or unexpected behavior. Features may change or be removed without notice during the Beta period. We appreciate your feedback, but the app is provided without the reliability guarantees we'd aim for in a general release.
4. Your account
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be at least 13 years old to use Pawtio. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
5. Recording vet visits
Pawtio lets you record audio of your vet visits for transcription. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to record the conversation — this may require telling your vet you're recording, depending on where you live. Pawtio isn't responsible for how you use the recording feature.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the information you enter into Pawtio — your pet's profile, recordings, transcripts, and anything else you add. By using the app, you grant Pawtio the license needed to store and process that content in order to provide the service to you (e.g., sending a transcript to our AI provider to generate a summary, as described in the Privacy Policy). We don't use your content for any purpose beyond providing and improving the app.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use Pawtio for any illegal purpose; attempt to access another user's data without authorization; attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or circumvent the app's security; or upload content that infringes someone else's rights.
8. Plans and pricing
Pawtio offers a Free plan and a Premium plan with additional features. Where paid features are offered, pricing and billing terms will be presented at the time of purchase through the applicable app store's payment system, and are subject to that app store's own terms.
9. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which permanently removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
Pawtio is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including — to the extent this Beta status doesn't already make it obvious — any warranty that the app or its AI-generated summaries will be accurate, reliable, or uninterrupted.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pawtio and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any decision made based on an AI-generated summary. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under applicable law.
12. Changes to these terms
If we make material changes to these terms, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
